POPFASD Online Training Course

“Supporting Learners with FASD”!

This training provides a foundation for increasing understanding of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and its educational implications. With an increased level of understanding, educators will be able to provide more effective and appropriate supports for learners with FASD.

The course focuses on an effective approach for teaching learners with FASD and provides an introduction to a helpful planning tool. Current resources, research, and strategies will also be shared.

The course will be delivered online using Elluminate technology. Participants will be expected to attend all 6 online sessions as well as to commit time to study and assignments. We welcome all educators (teachers, educational assistants, administrators, district support staff, etc.) to participate in our training.

Completion certificates will be awarded to those who meet the course expectations. If you are a current B.C. Educator, there is no fee for this training.
